Choco-kunafa Cake

When 2 viral recipes come together, magic is made!

Ingredients

  • 1 box of chocolate cake mix from Foster Clark’s
  • 3 eggs
  • 85 ml oil
  • 350 ml water
  • 2 sachets whipping cream from Foster Clark’s
  • 1 cup milk
  • 3 Tbsp pistachios paste
  • 2 cups kunafa dough – chopped
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 3 Tbsp milk to drizzle on the cake.

Instructions

  1. Prepare the chocolate cake by mixing the cake mixture with 3 eggs, 85 ml oil, and 350 ml water.
  2. Bake at 175℃ for 35 minutes, then let it cool.
  3. Prepare the whipped cream by mixing two sachets with 1 cup of milk, then whip until stiff.
  4. Add 3 Tbsp (or more) of pistachio paste or cream and refrigerate until the cake cools.
  5. Fry or bake the chopped kunafa dough with 1 Tbsp butter until golden.
  6. Drizzle 3 tablespoons of milk on the cooled cake to add moisture.
  7. Spread the pistachio whipped cream on top and sprinkle with crispy kunafa.
  8. Refrigerate for an hour before serving.
