A refreshing and creamy Custard Jelly Trifle layered with soft ladyfingers, fruity jelly, and velvety custard, topped with whipped cream and fresh fruits for a dessert that’s as beautiful as it is delicious.
Ingredients
3 Tbsp custard powder from Foster Clark’s
500ml milk
3-4 Tbsp sugar
1 pack strawberry jelly (veg) from Foster Clark’s
2 cups water
8-10 ladyfinger biscuits
3 Tbsp strawberry jam
1 apple (finely chopped)
½ cup pomegranate seeds
½ cup mixed berries
1 pack whipped cream from Foster Clark’s
115ml milk
Instructions
Prepare the jelly following the instructions on the pack
In a saucepan, mix the custard powder with 3 Tbsp cold milk to form a smooth paste.
Heat the remaining milk with sugar. Once warm, add the custard paste gradually while stirring.
Cook until it thickens. Let it cool.
Prepare the ladyfinger biscuits by dipping them in some milk to soften, then spread a thin layer of strawberry jam on each.
In a large glass bowl or individual cups, layer as follows:
Jam-coated ladyfinger biscuits at the bottom.
Chopped apple + pomegranate seeds.
Strawberry jelly cut in cubes.
Custard.
Few fresh berries.
Repeat the layers if necessary.
Once done, top with a generous swirl of whipped cream.
Garnish with pomegranate seeds, jelly cubes, and fresh berries for a beautiful look.
Serve chilled.
