Twin Berry Crêpe Pouch

Delicious Strawberry Pouches filled with rich dark chocolate cream and fresh berries, made easy with Foster Clark’s baking essentials, perfect for any occasion!

Ingredients

For the pouches:

  • 1 ½ cups all purpose flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk
  • Strawberry essence from Foster Clark’s
  • Red food colouring from Foster Clark’s

For the filling

  • ½ packet dark chocolate cake mix from Foster Clark’s
  • 1-2 eggs
  • 40ml vegetable oil
  • 138ml water
  • 1 pack whipped topping mix from Foster Clark’s
  • ½ milk
  • 50g cream cheese
  • Chopped strawberries, blueberries, and walnuts.

Instructions

  1. Prepare Strawberry pouches by mixing flour, egg, milk, water, and a few drops of strawberry essence & red colouring to make a smooth batter.
  2. Grease your pan with butter, add some of the batter to the pan and cook on low heat. Set aside to cool. Repeat for the remaining batter.
  3. Prepare the filling: prepare the dark chocolate cake following the instructions on the pack (cutting the recipe in half). Cut into bite-sized pieces.
  4. Beat the whipping cream with milk, then add cream cheese and whip again until thick.
  5. Combine the cake pieces with the whipped cream, adding strawberries, blueberries, and walnuts until well combined.
  6. Put the cake-cream mixture on the strawberry sheets and gently lift the sheets from one side and start folding them with your hands to form a pouch. Seal with a thread and pipe some more whipped cream on top.
  7. Garnish with strawberries, blueberries, and walnuts.
