Vanilla Cake Cones

These vanilla cake cones are made using Foster Clark’s cake mix and baked directly inside crisp ice cream cones. Topped with fluffy whipped cream and colourful sprinkles, they transform into a delightful dessert loved by kids and adults alike. Perfect for parties or as a surprise sweet treat after school!

Ingredients

For the cake:

  • 1 pack vanilla cake mix from Foster Clark’s
  • 275ml water
  • 80ml vegetable oil
  • 3 eggs

For serving:

  • 12 ready-made ice cream wafer cones
  • 1 pack whipped topping mix from Foster Clark’s
  • 115ml cold milk
  • Colourful sprinkles, for decoration

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix the cake mix with water, oil, and eggs. Beat well until smooth and fully combined.
  2. Place the ice cream cones into a cupcake tin to keep them upright. Fill each cone about ¾ full with the batter.
  3. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for about 20 minutes or until fully cooked.
  4. Remove from oven and let cool completely.
  5. Whip the Foster Clark’s whipping cream with cold milk until stiff peaks form.
  6. Pipe or spoon the cream over each cake and decorate with sprinkles.
