Ingredients

For the jelly:

  • ½ sachet jelly from Foster Clark’s
  • ½ quantity of water indicated on the pack

For the cake:

  • Vanilla cake mix from Foster Clark’s
  • 3 eggs
  • 275ml water
  • 80ml oil

For the whipping cream:

  • 1 sachet whipped topping from Foster Clark’s
  • 115 ml cold milk

For the custard:

  • 2 Tbsp custard powder from Foster Clark’s
  • 2 Tbsp sugar
  • 250ml milk

For the berry sauce:

Preparation

  • 1. Prepare jelly as indicated on the pack and let it set in the serving bowl.
  • 2. Prepare vanilla cake by following the detailed instructions on the pack.
  • 3. Prepare whipping cream as indicated on the pack.
  • 4. Prepare milk mixture and bring to boil.
  • 5. Prepare custard as indicated on the pack (do not prepare it in advance as it will thicken).
  • 6. Start layering the trifle : cake, custard, berry sauce, whipped cream. Repeat cake, custard, and berry sauce until the bowl is full. End with a layer of whipped cream
  • 7. Set in the fridge overnight.
  • 8. Decorate with red berries before serving.
