Waffle Pops with Fruit & Chocolate

An easy and delicious waffle recipe made with half chocolate and half plain waffles, served on sticks like lollipops! Paired with colourful fruits, it’s a perfect breakfast or fun snack for kids, especially during back-to-school season.

Makes

8 to 12 medium-to-small waffles

Ingredients

For the waffle batter:

  • 1 pack 3-in-1 Pancake Mix from Foster Clark’s
  • 465 ml water
  • 1 Tbsp Cocoa Powder from Foster Clark’s
  • Wooden sticks for serving

For serving:

  • Melted dark or milk chocolate (as desired)
  • Colourful sprinkles
  • Fruits for topping (strawberries, berries, kiwi, mango…)

Instructions

Prepare the waffles:

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk the waffle mix with water until smooth.
  2. Divide the batter into two portions. Add cocoa powder and 1 Tbsp water to one portion and mix well.
  3. Preheat the waffle maker and lightly grease it with oil.
  4. Pour a portion of plain batter and chocolate batter side by side into the waffle mould.
  5. Insert a wooden stick into the batter and cover it with a bit more batter to secure it.
  6. Cook until golden, then transfer to a cooling rack.

For decorating:

  1. Drizzle the waffles with melted chocolate in random lines, then sprinkle with colourful sprinkles.
  2. Decorate with sliced fruits in fun shapes.

For a richer chocolate flavour, try mixing chocolate chips into the batter, it’s a chocolatey twist kids will love!
